In 2021, while juggling their day jobs, Shahrukh and Gunjan Bharti laid the foundation of Yooneck as a small side business — focused on customised and corporate gifting. Shahrukh brought with him 10 years of hands-on retail experience, and a deep-rooted understanding of the industry, passed down from his father, who spent over 26 years sampling for major fashion brands. Gunjan, on the other hand, had spent 3 years working in retail, and her connection to fashion ran deeper — her late mother, too, had worked in fabric sampling for over a decade.

Both Shahrukh and Gunjan were colleagues at the same retail company — united not just by profession, but also by their passion for creativity. When challenges in their jobs began to outweigh the satisfaction, they made a bold move: they left their stable careers to build something of their own — something meaningful.

They poured their knowledge, skills, and hearts into Yooneck. With expertise in fabric selection, sizing, and product customization, they ensured that Yooneck was not just another brand, but India's first truly customized fashion platform — where every body type, every occasion, and every story is celebrated.

Life tested them again when Shahrukh’s father lost his job. But instead of breaking down, the family came together stronger. With their collective skills and unwavering determination, they decided to expand Yooneck — adding women's and kids' fashion in February 2025, taking a major leap toward fulfilling their dream.

In May 2025, their hard work bore fruit when Yooneck launched its first physical retail store at Galaxy Blue Sapphire Mall, Greater Noida — a proud moment carved in courage and commitment.

Today, Yooneck is scaling new heights with its pan-India presence through its website and the upcoming plan to open three more stores by the end of 2025. The brand is also inviting passionate entrepreneurs to join hands through its franchise model, offering end-to-end support — from setup to scale.
